Sherry asked:
I booked a flight from a travel agent in March. It is to China in this May. But I want to cancel it now since I have many stuff to do in the United States this summer. The agent told me that it will cost me 375$ if I cancel my flight from the agent. I don’t know if my ticket is refundable since the the united airline says “Our records indicate that your ticket is not valid for refund or may not fit our refund criteria.” So what will it cost if I cancel it from the United Airlines?

I would call United Airlines’ customer service
It is the airline that ultimately dictates whether a specific ticket is refundable, not the agent. (The ticket agent merely is following the specific rules set by the airline for your specific fare.) In other words, if the agent is telling you the ticket is nonrefundable, it’s because the airline has stated your ticket is nonrefundable.
The cost of $375 (which would be the change fee to re-use the value of this ticket towards a new ticket) is likely set by the airline itself. You can call United, as has already been suggested, but I doubt they’ll give you a different answer than your travel agent.
Sorry bud, but your travel agent was right. You probably have a non-refundable ticket. Travel agents know all the in’s and out’s of ticketing as they deal with the airlines directly. Basically they will charge you that $375 for the cancellation fee and put the rest of your ticket funds into a travel account that you can use later for a flight. Be aware though, those travel credits do expire and airlines will not reinstate an expired credit shell. Just call United though to see if they can “take care” of some of that fee. Believe it or not, reservation agents can do certain things to not take the entire cancel fee out. I doubt they will do it as all airlines are struggling right now and they need all the extra money they can get.
